If we are talking about Video Game Parties (and that is what we are talking about here), then you’ve got to talk about PLAYlive Nation. The Seattle location has 20 HD televisions, each one with its own leather recliner hooked up to an Xbox One, fast internet and a stereo headset. With all (or, almost all) the latest games, and ability to book the entire place after hours, it is the ultimate location for your own gaming party.
Here’s a little bit about what they offer:
Birthday Parties. Birthday parties are typically held during business hours, reserve between 5 and 10 game stations and are targeted primarily to tweens and teens. Package price includes Pizza, prizes, trivia and lots of gaming.
Tournaments. You can host your own game tournament around your favorite game. Madden? Call of Duty? Or go wild with a Minecraft tournament (not quite sure what that would be, but it is possible). If you don’t have enough friends to make the tournament really fun, the folks at PLAYlive will help sell additional tickets which reduces the cost of hosting the tournament!
Private Parties. Typically held after hours (or before), these are great if you have a large group. And when the general public is locked out, there is a bit more flexibility and you don’t need to worry about disturbing strangers when you scream at your team to cover your butt.
Games. Just about every game I could think of was available, although not all games have enough copies to play at 10 stations at once. A couple games are “banned”, like Watch Dogs, to prevent nudity from appearing on screen. But, you CAN play Grand Theft Auto! (I’m told you must stay away from the strip clubs, however).
Music. Oh, almost forget, this place keeps the music pretty loud, and the lights pretty low. It feels like a nightclub.
If you are looking for a video game party, check it out. (206) 268-0021.
